Innumerable seasons ago in Pixie Hollow, there lived a fairy named Belle. Black-haired, tanned, and green-eyed, she was a rather slothful fairy. She had no talent, surprisingly, and even when she tried to help prepare for the season, she tended to ruin others' work. Because of this, she ended up bathing in luxury and pleasure with big help from her beauty. Sparrow men always gazed at her when she passed by, and they'd feel honored to converse with her. Though lazy, she knew how to dress and prepare for events. One particularily talented and dedicated tinker sparrow man named Yehuda grew fond of her, but not only because of her appearance. The opposites attracted over time, and fell in love.

Yehuda kept focused on his work while showing Belle how to do more things, as her sluggish and talentless nature taught her so little. Even as she learned more stuff, in the end, she relied on him to do most things for her. That included following him to the Tearoom for breakfast, even. Even so, the two's relationship strengthed over time. They always laughed together and chatted away, making it all worthwile. Yehuda didn't mind lazy Belle, and Belle actually genuinely cared for the sparrow man after seeing who he was.

Belle's luxury felt so much better when she loved and was loved back. And she loved Yehuda like no other. She'd never dare to have 'luxury' again without him. It was why she commenced a lazy way of living--because she couldn't do anything right with her talentless nature, she couldn't find a way to help others. So Belle became a sloth, comfortably seated on a cotton bed one day and resting on a heap of shiny lost things another day. And of course, it made her feel bad. Made her feel bad for being useless to the hard workers. When she slept, light fairies danced with fireflies in the sky, becoming stars themselves for the dim Pixie Hollow.

Belle wanted to help, but she knew she couldn't after her failed attempts from simple tasks such as making a delivery. She had no talent.

She was just good at being lazy. And it sucked for her. Being lazy and attracting others.

One day, she realized that she needed to do something that would let her laziness help. She told Yehuda about her dilemma and he began helping her with her plans to contribute for once to Pixie Hollow. Over the nights that they planned, another sparrow man named Kamani fell for Belle and invited her to his place. Belle accepted so as to not hurt his feelings.

Attempting to give her affection, he tried offering finely-made flower boquets from garden fairies and gem lights from light fairies. Eventually, Belle told him that she already loved another. In spite of her presence in Pixie Hollow, not many knew of her relationship with Yehuda. Belle left a heart-broken Kamani that night and decided to visit Palm Tree Cove instead of sinking into bed like her usual self. A fairy named Lilydrop went as well and spoke with her. It came to the point where they discussed Kamani and Yehuda, with both admiring Yehuda's dedication to work. Sitting at the shore, the midnight moon gave them a beautiful image for the time. Lilydrop left to sleep, leaving Belle alone. Thirty minutes after her departure, Belle, still relaxing, was grabbed by a drenched hand. Managing to look through splashing waves and rasps, she saw a tail.

A mermaid snatched her and took her away.

The next morning, Yehuda finished his creation for Belle--a slouch-o-matic--and wanted to show Belle, but she was nowhere to be seen. That day, many scout fairies and fairies in general searched every nook and cranny for Belle, but she was nowhere to be seen. In the end, Yehuda began losing concentration on his work, thinking of only Belle. He requested art fairies to draw more pictures of her (aside from the ones made in memory of her disappearance). Yehuda slacked off half of the time, with Belle being his only worry.

For numerous seasons he's hopefully waited for her return. And one day, he lazily left from his couch to work at Tinker's Nook. As he was flying by in a quieter meadow, he saw white. He turned and saw the face of Belle, with white, messy hair that looked less cared for than hers. Strangely, she was donned in the dandelion dress of a new arrival. The fairy asked him what was wrong, seemingly not seeing herself, and others came by as if she was normal-looking and not white-skinned. Another time, he saw a sparrow man dressed and colored the same way as her, with similar facial features as Belle--a sparrow man version of her in a way. No one but him paid heed to him. Over time, more than Yehuda saw the mysterious being that took over fairies in some peoples' views. And as the sightings piled up, Yehuda didn't see 'it' as Belle. Only that it happened to look like her, as if it was an imposter. The fairies gave the strange thing a name: 0. And more than one could be seen at any given time.

Whether or not 0 has a mind of its own in spite of not being able to control others despite changing their appearance remains unknown.
