Silver using a... what IS that device?

For those that are thinking Silver found a laptop, think again because most typical laptops have far more keys than the device Silver's using. This device is called a steno writer and it's used in occupations that require you to keep up with the speaker. Also, I figured, why not have Silver dress in business caj (pronounced cazh) since said jobs require at least that attire, although she just had to keep her signature antennae.
