Arrival Days sure are fun, but what if one landed on St Patrick's Day?

~Magnolia and Onyx Cedargem were very excited for their Arrival Anniversary! They usually agreed on a lot of things and got along well, but Magnolia wanted wintry shades of green while Onyx wanted dark, oceanic tones. Bicker did both twins for a while on the colour scheme until Lavender came by carrying various hypoallergenic flowers, such as roses and hydrangeas, cactus flowers and even orchids, but no tulips because last year, Tansy's super strong lungs caused so much damage when she sneezed that the Silly Days parade had to be altered on account of injuries. Still, a few dozen or so hypoallergenic flowers made for lovely decorations.

~Daylily S. was working with the pollinators today, guiding them towards the hydrangeas after discovering that not even Tansy was allergic to hydrangeas because their pollen was too sticky to blow away in the wind. Daylily J. grew plenty of hydrangeas that attracted pollinators better than beetles, namely because what self-respecting Gardener would want the beetles to eat her lovely flowers?

~Lavender, despite being a Gardener, also showed great concern for the different herbivores that visited not only her vast garden, but the other lush areas of the Hollow. She too grew some hydrangeas, but these particular ones, the Hydrangea macrophylla hortensis, or Mopheads, attracted beetles, ants and slugs, among other herbivores that were neither Chordates nor pollinators. She made sure to plant these far enough away so those that preferred the Mophead  Hydrangeas didn't bother the pollinators and vice versa.

~Foxglove worked on a sign that read

Happy Arrival Anniversary
Magnolia and Onyx Cedargem!

~And adorned it with many white Alstroemerias. She also added some purple flowers that she loved so dearly before flying away.

~Meanwhile, Hickory found a much more fun place to have the Arrival Day Celebration: a fun little niche in her home hidden by a compartment in her floor. In this niche lay a fun little realm where the floor looked and smelt of sweets, but the piece de resistance was in the walls and other decorations: a purple lolly, a cheery rainbow to brighten up the already cheery fuchsia room and eight happy little flavours of candyfloss clouds. Ever since Hickory discovered the niche in her home after getting it upgraded, she was hard at work prettying it to be a fun, happy little hideaway. Oh, what fun everyone would have in said niche!

~When everyone was busy with the decorations, the twins were still too busy trying to decide the colour scheme. Magnolia said that the elder twin should get to do her colour scheme first, but Onyx thought it was the taller one that got her choice first. Neither twin wanted to compromise and what was even trickier, Pearl decided to visit the twins and have them go sailing with her along Havendish Stream.

~The ride was enjoyable… at least to Pearl and Magnolia, but it made Onyx a little seasick… or rather, streamsick. Imagine, a Water Talent, even one whose chief talent was for soup, getting seasick? But no matter how the ride fared, even at the smoothest points, the longer it went, the greener Onyx glowed until Heather Moonstone, the only other fairy in the Hollow to swim and the first to have permanently waterproof wings, saw Onyx's green glow and decided it best to end the boat ride early because far be it for her to let anyone get streamsick at Havendish. The boat ride a no-go, time to find something else to do, preferably on dry land.

~Finally, time for the celebration! Magnolia and Onyx were blindfolded and guided to where the party would be held and once shown, everyone called out…

HAPPY ARRIVAL DAY!

~The twins were amazed and ecstatic! They enjoyed food, games, all sorts of fun and the best part was, they got to share this day with their friends! The funny thing is, the Cedargem Twins were also St Patrick's Day fairies because that was when they both arrived, and they both want to wish you a Happy St. Patricks Day too.
