Story Time Again!

~Daylily reminisced of her Laugh days longingly as she petted her Animal Friend Gingerbright. Although Neverfairies' ages are normally classified, it was clear her Second Year was nigh. Daylily remembered getting a New Fairy cupcake and a First Year Cupcake, but she sometimes missed being a Laugh. If only she had a talent for rewinding time! Alas, no such talent existed among Neverfairies, mainly because it was a very unsafe talent.

~But what if she found a way to look back to when she was still a laugh? Daylily decided to try the Book Nook.

~No matter where Daylily looked, no book had any answers she wanted, but didn't already have. She already knew that while some knew their talents already, most had to keep guessing until they found it and very few had trouble discovering their talents until they were at least a day old! Prilla herself found out her talent at a week post-Arrival, which made Daylily reminisce again of when she was still a Laugh. She already loved animals from the time she was laughed out of a very small infant that grew up to study the various Mainland Jungles, including but not limiting to the Amazon, but Daylily didn't see the Amazon first… she saw the inside of an aquarium, an enclosure where many animals of the oceans were kept, mainly to learn of their habits, habitats and conservation stats. She also remembered seeing a few more being Laughed into existence, but she was the only one that wasn't scared.

~This way! she told the other Laughs as she led them to Neverland.

~"Daylily?" asked Hickory.

~"Huh?" Daylily said, suddenly awakened from reminiscing.

~"What're you reminiscing about?"

~"Have you ever thought about when you were still a Laugh?"

~"Who cares a toad wart about that anymore once they Arrive?"

~"I still care!" Daylily exclaimed way too loudly for a Book Nook, drawing unwanted attention to herself. She then blushed a very embarrassed red.

~"Maybe don't reminisce so hard in the Book Nook?"

~"What in Neverland are you talking about?"

~"Follow me."

~As Hickory and Daylily flew, a new Laugh was on her way here!

~"Hurry!" cried Hickory.

~I hope she's an Animal Scout, thought Daylily.

~Heather the Merfairy zipped past Daylily, but couldn't keep pace with Hickory since Heather was one of the fastest Weather Talents around… and one of the strongest. Heather Rosesong was a little faster than Heather the Merfairy, but still slower than Hickory. Magnolia, of course, could outfly even the normal Fast-Flyers. She was indeed the fastest Tinker of them all and had the strongest lifting capacity to boot of said guild.

~"Slow down, Magnolia!" called Phoebe. "The Laugh will still be there when we all reach!"

~When everyone was there and Terence poured the First Cup of Pixie Dust onto the dandelion fluff that contained the laugh, the fluff became a thin (but not as thin as Periwinkle) fairy with skin almost as fair as Heather the Merfairy's and hair even curlier than the same, then Queen Clarion recited her rhyme:

Born of Laughter
Clothed in Cheer
Happiness has brought you here
Welcome to Pixie Hollow

~After being shown the talents, the fairy first went to the Water Pedestal, but that faded. She tried Animal (no), Garden (no), Light (no), Fast Flight (no)… in fact, she tried every Warm Nature Talent but Scout. However, heading to the Tinker Talent, the Scout talent glowed first, then the Winter Talent…

~Oh well, doesn't look like she'll be working with animals, thought Daylily. But at least she'll be protecting the Winter Woods.

~The new fairy's name was Snowflake, but judging from the glows, it looked like the Winter part would be a little stronger than the Scout part. Still, Kyra gave Snowflake a cupcake for New Arrivals.

~But not one hour later another Laugh came to the Hollow… Daylily could already feel this Laugh would be an excellent Tinker… specifically the first ever to specialise in building animatronic animals. Everyone returned to the area where New Arrivals were born, the process was repeated, but this time the New Arrival was a sparrowman with golden skin and brown hair… and he already knew he was destined to be a Tinker. He was a very strong Tinker, but only Tinker Bell was the best that anyone knew of. Still, he didn't just have a glowing Tinker gift, his also involved engineering, ergo when the different branches of Tinkers were shown, animatronics had the absolute strongest glow. The new Animatronic Specialist's name was Springtrap. He seemed very friendly and even had the appearance of an animatronic rabbit… a rabbot, if you will.

~Everyone seems to be coming in quite fast to Neverland these days, thought Daylily as yet a third Laugh came in almost immediately after Springtrap, and quite quickly too. Oh look, a Fast-Flyer.

~After Lucy, the new Fast-Flyer, no other Laughs came to Neverland that day.

~That evening after her Scout tasks, Daylily went to bed and hoped for one of her favourite dreams, the ones with all the animals safe and sound and happy. Daylily relished dreaming of happy, safe animals, but this night wasn't going to have the usual happy animals. No, this night she dreamt of when she was a Laugh… she'd had this dream before and it always ended happily… until this night.

~The dream began with her being Laughed into Existence at an aquarium and leading the scared Laughs to Neverland, some Fast-Flyers guiding the Laughs, which became dandelion fluff, to where they would Arrive. She remembered Fauna Aspenleaf coming from the Winter Woods and helping four of the Laughs on their way to said realm while Sir Jasper helped the rest to the Warm areas. Daylily was accepted and born first. She remembered getting her very first cup of Pixie Dust, her wings getting filled with additional Pixie Dust from Queen Clarion's lithe yet strong yet gentle fingers, learning to fly on her new wings and walking straight to the egg, weeping. The egg glowed so brightly only one other Animal Talent glowed brighter: Beck. She even remembered the Scout's binoculars glowing and Daylily wept as she got a pretty strong glow, but it wasn't a bright white-golden glow… more of a passionate magenta, then white on both talents. Then, the egg hatched into a hummingbird and Daylily kept weeping harder. She remembered a tour of all of Pixie Hollow, her wings getting frosted by Fauna, who finished the tour in the Winter Woods and being flown to her new home, a charming but pretty standard home like Prilla's used to be. Primrose had decorated Daylily's home with a nest, a father bird and his chicks following. Daylily could not stop crying that day.

~But then as she went to bed, she heard taunts of being the weepiest Scout ever… or the weepiest Animal Talent ever… or that no Scout should have that strong a gift for animals because that makes them bad Scouts, along with the like. Daylily heard all this before, but never did her dream reach this point before. She even got called Crylily because of how often she cried… she then woke up crying and tried to remain awake the rest of the night as she hugged Gingerbright. She only managed 43 minutes awake before having naught but nightmares of her talent the rest of the night.
