Hey everyone! I know, it's been a while since I've posted art on here, I just forget to sometimes. Anyways, my entry is all about my talent, roses, thorns, and walls. Personally, I have walls. Just how roses have thorns. Most people think Garden Talents are sweet, kind, and easy to read like an open book. A part of that is true, but, another part isn't. You can't read me like an open book, it takes quite a while to do that. I'm a pretty private, secretive person. I hide a lot of feelings behind my wall that I've built from experiences. Usually, whenever someone gets smacked by my wall, they don't try again, they don't try to get to know me, my reasons, nothing. Mostly because I'm pretty hopeless in situations like that. But when someone does try to work around my wall or get to know me more even after I've pushed them away, it feels nice. Gosh, I'm rambling, this quote pretty much explains what I'm trying to say:
"He picked up one of Lorna's roses and set it in my lap. "Here." I picked up and smelled it. He poked me in the shoulder. "See what I mean?" Thorns don't stop you from sniffing. Or putting them in a vase on the kitchen table. You work around them... Cause the rose is worth it... Think what you'd miss. -Charles Martin Chasing Fireflies: A Novel of Discovery.
Now for the art: first I drew the rose, I did my best to make it detailed but like if I failed lemme know. Anyways, after that, I had a long debate with myself deciding if I should put my fairy in the photo. In the end, I did. So. Hehe. I looked at YouTube videos for that. They help. She looks pretty bad, why? She's me! Hehe! The time this took me is a few hours each day. I started before the Garden Talent Gala, and I wanted to post it sometime after the Gala. I've added the final touches, so I think it's done. ^-^ So there's like four photos. 2 of the rose alone, and 2 of the rose with the fairy and its final touches. Anywayysss, I hope you all like it! Have a wonderful day/evening/night, everyone!
