Summer Sonnet

A summer breeze ruffling my hair
Summer happiness floating around
Summer flowers flying in the air
Dandelion weeds lay on the ground

Little girls run about
While their mothers chase them
Little boys yell and shout
While their fathers laugh at the mayhem

The children get hungry and ask
To get some icecream
This is another task
That the parents wish was a dream

They still purchase the treat
In hopes of going away from the heat

I hope you enjoyed my sonnet! Normally I would talk first or give an intro and not an outro but I decided to just write the poem!
