No, I haven't used Wattpad or Episode before. I poked around on Wattpad a few days ago and it looks like there are a lot of creative people there. Do you have some favorite writers or stories on either site?

For poetry: I like Mary Oliver, Billy Collins, and Naomi Shihab Nye. I love historical fiction, mysteries, biographies, fantasy, and middle-grade fiction, too. My favorite authors include Wayne Thomas Batson, C.S. Lewis, Isabel Allende, Avi, Bryan Doyle, Pseudonymous Bosch.

And one of my favorite books is The Phantom Tollbooth, for all its love of wordplay. You seem to like YA books--have you read Divergent? I was absolutely riveted until the end.

The summer's day sonnet and Romeo and Juliet are classics! Mary Oliver, one of my favorite contemporary poets, was once asked what her favorite line of poetry was, and she quoted the balcony scene: "But soft! What light through yonder window breaks? / It is the east, and Juliet is the sun." So good.

I mentioned my favorite Shakespeare plays in my last comment, but you made me think of Sonnet 76 ("Why is my verse so barren of new pride"), which I like because it talks about the creative writing process.

Ooh! For some reason, I started 13 Reasons Why (Asher) and Dash and Lily's Book of Dares (Levithan) and never finished them. But whatever I read was very good.

This is a really long comment. XD Sorry. I'm going to make a new one for my favorite authors.

I really like The Tempest, along with Hamlet, As You Like It, and Cymbeline. There's a lot to admire in his sonnets, too. If you haven't read Sonnet 116, look it up (maybe on Poetry Foundation)! You might like it.

What are some of your favorite works of his? Or other favorite authors?
