I hang out in the Winter Woods a lot but all of these would be useful in my adventures in other meadows, especially when my wings aren't used to getting wet XP

That is because they import them from Mystical Vale.
Yes, they can be scented. We also have the choice to not have a scent for anyone with allergies.
