Color Backdrop Buggy?

I tried to decorate my profile page nice and with a rather professional color scheme (for the theme of a Nature-Talent Fairy).

Here is what I saw when I was done decorating and still had my DIY open (it's this way every time I open my DIY).

BEFORE

Looks nice, doesn't it?  However, when I save it like this, I end up with this,

AFTER

I have no clue why the dark green color I added for the backdrop of the content area got swapped for a white one (the default one) when I saved my settings.

The backdrop color is there when I go to the DIY settings, yet it vanishes every time I save or exit out of it.

Is this a bug?  Or something the developers missed?  Does anyone else have this problem?
