my favorite book series so far include The Lunar Chronicles by marissa meyer c: it's a perfect blend of fantasy book characters thrust into the world of sci-fi. usually i'm not one to enjoy sci-fi on its own, but this series is just so well-written. my favorite book from that series is probably the fourth and final novel: winter. it introduces the character that alludes to snow white, winter blackburn. she's probably one of my favorite book characters out of everything i've read, but i can talk about that in another thread (;.

The School for Good and Evil by soman chainani is also one of my favorites. the amount of suspense and thrill, along with the charm that each character brings forth is a really rare trope i don't see too often in literature these days. i must say, soman knows exactly what he's doing to keep an audience enthralled.

finally, something that i recently read managed to sneak its way up on my favorites list: The Girl on the Train by paula hawkins. the fact that it isn't fantasy notwithstanding, i have never finished a book faster than The Girl on the Train. goodness me that was such an addicting read!

i've been reading and following both series for quite a long time - i'm delighted i get to talk about them as well!

TgotT is DA BOMB. Althought I only read the 1st book when I borrowed it form my BFF's library. I swear I was up all night reading it even on a school day. I think I'd have to say that I sympathize with Sophie a lot. I love Agatha too, but I feel like Sophie is able to add a little bit of her own flair to her true self.

i sympathize with sophie more because i relate to her inner strife, struggles, and feelings. she's such a unique character that has stuck with and resonated with me for a long time.
