I just saw the first episode of Sofia the First: Royal Magic and so far the series feels quite familiar, yet new at the same time. I won't spoil too much, but let's just say the format will be a bit different from Sofia the First. For one, two tales, half an hour instead of half an hour per story. Also, the title cards are spoken only, not spoken and displayed. Oh, and there are new powers and spells, but why not give at least the first episode a watch if you haven't?
