FairyABC serves to provide a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for players 13 and above to share their love for Pixie Hollow.

Players are required to follow the rules at all times– this includes in-game, forum, and whisper/PM conversations.

If you see another player break the rules, you may report the problem in the Report Center, or message a staff member, but you may not use it as a reason to break the rules yourself.

Always be kind and respect other fairies.

If your words could hurt someone, don’t say them.

  • No bullying, harassment, hate speech, or discrimination of any kind

    • This includes but is not limited to racism, sexism and homophobia

  • No instigating behaviors (like passive aggressive remarks or impersonation)

Language Guidelines

We allow light slang, but no outright profanity or cursing:

  • You may use mild expressions such as lmao, dang, heck
  • You may not use cursing or profanity, including censored words or harsher abbreviations (like b-word, or wtf)
  • No vulgar jokes or sexual innuendos

Keep it wholesome

Let’s emulate the spirit of Pixie Hollow!

  • No roleplaying extreme violence, abuse, or sexual content
  • No flirting that makes others uncomfortable
  • No discussion of politics, religion, drugs, weapons, or other sensitive real-world subjects
  • For all players’ well-being, no discussion of self-harm, suicidal ideation, eating disorders, or other sensitive mental health topics. We care about our community– If you’re struggling, please talk to a trusted adult or mental health professional

Online safety

  • No sharing personal social media handles, and no asking other players for theirs
  • No posting selfies or photos of friends or family members
  • No sharing of personal information, including but not limited to: city of residence, workplace, real name, or phone number
  • No solicitation, fundraising, selling, or buying

Pixies’ integrity

  • No spam
  • No cheating
  • No reposting others’ artistic content without permission or credit
  • No pretending to be younger or older than you are

Forum-specific rules

Forum conduct is held to the same standard as in-game, but a few extra rules apply:

  • Usernames and profile pictures must follow all rules. You may be asked by staff to change your username or profile picture if it is deemed inappropriate
  • No linking personal social media accounts
  • No spammy post titles such as one word, all caps, or all emojis
  • Your post may be deleted if:

    • It breaks any FairyABC rules
    • It contains nothing but emojis, images, links, or symbols
    • It contains only one word or is otherwise low-effort [cool, wow, lol]
    • It’s spam or an advertisement
    • It is a repost of an entire article from another site
    • It’s anonymous outside of the Report Center

  • All forum rules apply to blogs, signatures, custom titles, albums, comments, userpage, description, and private messages as well
  • If you see a post that breaks any of these rules, don’t reply to it yourself– notify a staff member instead

Punishments

Most issues are met with a friendly reminder or post edit, however:

  • Staff may issue a formal or informal warning if a player breaks the rules above

    • We typically follow a “3 strikes, you’re out” policy, but staff can mute/ban immediately in extreme cases
    • Illegal, insulting, instigating, or flame messages on your userpage or in messages will automatically trigger a 30-day mute

  • You can still face consequences on FairyABC for harassing players or staff on other platforms like Discord or Facebook
  • We do not tolerate banhopping: the act of creating a new account or otherwise cheating to get around a ban or mute. Banhopping may result in a lengthening of ban/mute
  • You may respectfully appeal bans or mutes, but you may not argue or harass

It is impossible to write rules that cover every possible scenario. For this reason, staff are permitted to use discretion in handling situations that may not be explicitly described in the rules.
