Guide to FairyABC 1.0 Cosmetic Glitches

I had originally wanted to make a thread in "Tutorials" about this topic, but I decided to make it a blog instead since advertising the game's glitches might not be very polite. Rest assured these glitches are not harmful, and can play a fun role in extra customization of your fairy. The glitches listed will fall in sort of an easiest-to-hardest order. Some of them might be pretty useless but I wanted to include all of the glitches related to cosmetics that I can think of.
Huge Fairy Glitch
This glitch will allow you to take a higher definition screenshot of your fairy while in a meadow
- Simply open and close your leaf journal very quickly.
- Your fairy will appear much bigger, therefore allowing for a clearer screenshot.
- To reverse the glitch, open and close your leaf journal again except slower.
Pose Glitch
This glitch will pose your fairy while in a meadow.
- Make sure your fairy is sitting.
- Open your leaf journal.
- On the top right you will see an icon of a sparrow man and a fairy. This is where you will edit your pose.
- After setting the desired pose, click save.
- Close your leaf journal and your fairy will be posed in-game. Unfortunately, only those around you can see the glitch. You won't be able to see it yourself.
Note: Previously, the pose glitch did not affect fairy profiles and would twist your fairy into a funny-looking knot; However, with last year's pose fix, poses now save onto your fairy profile and appear in-meadow the same as you saved them.
Color Glitch
This glitch will allow you to cross-color features in the salon at Palm Tree Cove.
- Find any color in the salon which you would like to add to your fairy. It doesn't matter which tab you choose from.
- Click on the color.
- Switch to the corresponding tab of where you want to add the color and click "Get".
For example, if there was a wing color that you wanted as a skin color instead, you would click the wing color, switch to the skin color tab, and then click "Get". The color glitch works between all 4 color tabs in the salon.
Sparrow Man Arrival Day Outfit Glitch
This glitch will allow a sparrow man to wear the original fairy arrival day outfit.
- Open your leaf journal.
- Make sure you have an empty slot.
- Click on the empty slot and then press "wear".
To dye:
- Wear a sparrow man item into the dye shop along with the arrival day outfit [i.e. shoes, hat, etc].
- Select the category of your sparrow man item. For example, press shoes if you wore shoes.
- Select the color you want.
- Similar to the above color glitch, switch back to the "upper" tab. It will tell you the item cannot be dyed, but if you press dye it will work.
Note: Only the top piece of the arrival day outfit can be dyed, the bottom cannot.
Sparrow Man Hair Glitch
This glitch will allow a sparrow man to wear any hair from the fairies' section.
- Open the salon and go to the wings tab [It can be done with any tab other than hair front and back, but I feel that the wings tab is the easiest for this glitch].
- Click on any wings, and much like the color glitch, switch back to either "Hair fronts" or "Hair backs" and press get.
- Since there is no clear guide to which hair type will show up, this glitch is a trial-and-error type deal and may take you awhile to find the hair you want.
Notes: I have tried to make sense of which wings will bring up which hair type, and there does seem to be a pattern, but it is not the same as the normal fairy salon order. I have also tried to memorize which wings are which certain types of hair I want, but when considering how many wings there are added with the fact that it could either be a front or a back, it gets very confusing.
Since fairies are shaped differently than sparrow men, most of the hair fronts will have a bald spot on sparrow men. I recommend either wearing a hat with this or only using the back.
Sparrow Man Clothing Glitch
This glitch will allow sparrow men to wear any item that fairies can wear.
- Run your own server. Make it small so that others won't enter; it will be closed in later steps.
- Log into both the forums and the game with the fairy account that you will be using to glitch and enter the game as usual.
- Gather the items you want to glitch onto your sparrowman.
- If you only want to glitch certain items, enter your leaf journal and click "wear" on those items even if you are already wearing them.
- On a seperate tab, open the forums [your fairy will still be in the game].
- Log out of your fairy account and log back in to both the forums and the game welcome screen with your sparrowman account, but don't actually enter the game.
- Turn your computer on airplane mode.
Note: The point of this step is to replicate a dead server. The outfits won't merge if you refresh at this step, or even if you manually cut the server.
- Take your computer out of airplane mode and reconnect to the internet.
- You may or may not be redirected to the server list. I get redirected to the forum page. Either way, the glitch should have worked.
- Log back into the game with your sparrow man and he should be wearing the selected fairy clothes.
To keep in leaf journal:
- Simply go to Daisy's Dyes and dye whichever items you got from your fairy account.
- After dying the item, it will show up in your leaf journal.
Note: Similar to the hair glitch, the shirts, pants, and shoes might not fit very well since fairies are much smaller. I recommend using this glitch for accessories.
I hope you can find these somewhat useful! I hope these will carry on into 2.0 because they're fun and add an extra dimension of customizability to our fairies (Well... Mostly sparrow men XD). If I left any out or if you have suggestions to add to this list, leave it in the comments.

- Worked 10/17/2023 twice: Using a fresh window [server window didn't matter but was separate] dyed existing items to reinput to leaf journal. In Havendish, pressed wear on items in journal even when already wearing. Donated all except the one first run, didn't touch inventory the second. Just make sure to press wear afterwards if wardrobe order is changed. What seemed to make the difference was someone else being present in the server, whispered to them both times but probably doesn't matter. Airplane mode was not used only cutting the internet source itself. Server was /10 names were gentle hill and lily reef but surely does not matter. Meadow selection on target account probably won't matter but I went to Acorn Summit initially. This glitch is insanely hard to pull off in 2023 and this was my first time getting it to work in probably 2 years or more, much less twice in one day. Woot woot!
