Early the next morning as the sun turned the sky blush pink, Clover Diamonddrop set out to Havendish Square to meet with Silvermist and Rani.

The night before, she had sent a messenger to request their help to find out what was happening with the Spring Meadow streams.

They quickly agreed, eager to help the new Minister solve the mystery.

Clover floated down to the bank of Havendish Square, and what she saw immediately worried her.

Rani and Silvermist were already there, troubled expressions on their faces.

“Hello Rani! Hi Silvermist! Thank you both for coming on such short notice… I really need your help…” Clover began. 

"Of course our dear new Minister! Always happy to help in any way we can!” They exclaimed.

Clover sighed wearily, “I think our issue with the animals has something to do with the Spring Meadow streams, so I really need your expertise to weigh in.”

“Actually, I already went for a dip earlier to see what clues I could find,” Rani replied. 

“Clover! You’re right, something is wrong with the Spring meadow streams! There are so many fish that I could hardly swim past Havendish Stream!"

Silvermist chimed in, "I think the streams are shrinking! There just isn't as much space for the animals to swim, and I think the issue is at the source... You need to find out where that is!" 

“Doesn’t all the water come from the Never Sea?” Clover asked.

Silvermist lowered her voice, as if whispering a secret, "No one knows for sure, Pixie Hollow is the hidden heart of Neverland. According to the ancient scrolls, the water comes up from below ground under the very roots of the Pixie Dust Tree!”

“That means the water possibly gets there from somewhere else close to the Never Sea, just like you thought, Clover!” Rani added excitedly.

“It’s worth a shot to investigate, Clover!” Silvermist nodded in agreement.

“Well, where does the Never Sea connect to Pixie Hollow?” Clover asked.

Silvermist counted on her fingers, “There are four places, actually. Mermaid Grotto, Pirate’s Cove, Crocodile Creek, and Shipwreck Beach.”

Rani tilted her head in thought, “And of those four places, only two are really underground...”

Clover’s eyes widened, realizing before Rani could finish speaking. 

“Mermaid lagoon and Crocodile Creek.”

Clover would have to venture beyond Pixie Hollow to solve the mystery.
