It was three nights away from the full moon, and Queen Clarion was sitting in her council room.

She was busy reading a report from the mainland with furrowed brows, a worried look on her face.

Reports from the mainland scouts were rare, and receiving one this quickly after the beginning of spring wasn’t a good sign.

The scouts reported significant decreases in local animal populations compared to previous years, just as seen in Pixie Hollow.

Queen Clarion glanced up from her scroll, and a gentle smile lit up her face.

“Hello, dear Clover!” Queen Clarion exclaimed, relieved to see the new Minister.

Clover fluttered into the council chamber and stood before the Queen, a tight-lipped smile on her own face.

“Hi there, Queen Clarion! How are you?” Clover asked.

“I just received news from the mainland about our problem, and I hope you have better news for me,” the Queen sighed sadly.

Clover sighed and sat down in the chair next to the Queen, preparing to deliver her report.

“Well, Queen Clarion, this is officially my first report as your Minister of Animal Knowledge.

I’m very sorry to say, but things in Pixie Hollow are no better than on the mainland.”

The Queen nodded knowingly as Clover continued.

“From my fieldwork, I discovered that we have a healthy dragonfly population.

However, they display strange behaviors.

They prefer to lay their eggs in the Bubbly Bog rather than in the spring meadow streams!”

Queen Clarion considered this for a moment, processing the information, before she finally spoke.

“Clover, you should speak with Silvermist and Rani. Maybe they can give you some insight.”

Clover nodded in agreement.

“I’m on it, Queen Clarion!”
