i find human interaction something very interesting. it's something i could never quite understand when i was a child and i, to this day, lack the social awareness to participate in a few of them, but i still love to observe... and sometimes chime in
people always move differently when they're talking about certain subjects or doing certain activities in public. it's rare to see someone who's truly comfortable in being themselves when around strangers, but i can't help to find joy in getting comfortable myself just to see people soften too.
one thing i really enjoy is joining stranger's conversations in public, when the time is appropriate. i always think our hearts ache for a feeling of community, and surprisingly i still haven't met people who dislike it when i suddenly laugh at what they said with their friends. it's clear in their faces they like that attention, and i don't mean to mention it in a bad way!
recently, i was walking around the campus with a friend to go get food, and i spotted a group of girls talking about a concert that's happening in my country. i couldn't control myself, so i joined the conversation for a bit, and they gladly welcomed me aboard, like we knew each other for years.
once me and my friend had to go, she asked me if i knew them. obviously i said no, i just wanted to hear them talk about something they loved.
my friends now call me ''party famous", because i know everyone around the campus just because i keep inserting myself in situations i wouldn't normally be.
i don't think that can be considered being famous. they always tell me i have no shame nor ever feel embarrassed, but why would i be ashamed and embarrassed to be human? the amount of friends i made this year just by being overly curious about what they're saying is still insane to me. a few years ago i wouldn't even look at other's faces.
anyways, this all makes me think about social normatives i don't ever understood and i don't think i ever will. i love complimenting people in public, i love laughing at funny things strangers say around me, and i love connecting to people. giving flowers to random individuals i see, giving small gifts to others just because i feel like to.
it's something people don't forget in this very forgetfull world.
