The Haiku Garland that Started in Summer
Summer, warmth aboundIn the North, starting in June
Often very hot
Sometimes undulates
Spring one day, Summer the next
Which season is it?
Increasingly, it
Feels like a roller coaster
About the weather
Where did the spring go?
And yet I write this in May
Best let the course run
Haiku strings can be
Rather difficult to do
But still possible
Enter stanza six
So far, used syllables are
A hundred and two
In a haiku there
Are seventeen syllables
No more, no fewer
But haiku garlands
Need at least two haiku groups
Else, just a haiku
Summer, what a time
To have fun in the sunshine
And water fun too
I end this haiku
Garland on the note to have
Fun in this summer.
