Summer

Summer, oh summer
How we used to dance away together
when the bees hummed throughout your day
And the fireflies danced with us throughout your night.
Even in the dark everything seems so bright.
How carefree we are when our dreams took flight on your warm breezes.
I still remember how we dreamed of this lasting forever
But alas, every season must come and go, for a reason we do not know
Although Autumn may be on the rise I know you will always be by my side
The warm days, the sweet rays all of it shall be only temporary memories, until you come again
When you come again, and we do this all over again until one day our shared dreams come true.
Oh Summer, you will never know what you mean to me
And neither will I from you to me, but alas my good friend,
The cold is coming and it's time for us to part, but only for a time.
It's a pretty nice poem for your first one, and to me it says, "Sometimes poems don't have to rhyme everywhere".
