Storytelling Talent

So this is it. This is the end of the talents series. Do you guys want me to keep posting poems here? If so, what do you suggest I do? Did you like the series format or would you rather I wrote one-off poems once in a while? Just so you know, this poem is a little more serious that what I've posted on here previously, since it was written before I joined. This is also why it isn't quite so fairy-related. I hope that's okay, because I've been planning to use this poem for storytelling talent since the very beginning and I don't think it'd be very easy to rewrite/change. Please tell me how you'd like me to continue in the comments, and as always, enjoy!

An Inkling
Twists and curls spiral through
A noebook that is worn
Never would you guess the truth
Through handwriting and scorn

Written voices, written lies
Put pen to paper now
Vanished words and
Vanished song
This is the final bow

Explain away the sorrows
Apply logic to the pain
Oh, intellect and mind-work,
Take sadness far away

The mask of joy is fleeting
But enough for the day
As lies I am repeating
So in this world I stay

A spirit trapped in paper
A song regaled to ink
A lifeline in a pen-nib
That could vanish in a blink

Between the pages blessed
Within the Book of Life
A lonely soul has quested
Returned carrying strife

Safe again within this screen
The typing falls to stop
And in leaving behind this scene
There's left behind a drop

A soul hides here
A spirit dwells
A happiness ensconsed
Ne'er to leave this barren place
Where echoes no response

Wow, amazing, I would venture to say this is my favorite one yet. If you still want to share your talents with us, I'd love to see more poems, whether it be individually or as a series.

Wow, very interesting!

I would love to see more 'one-ofs' if you're so inclined.

This poem is just perfect.

Thanks everyone! I think the next few poems I share will be one-off poems, and they will be only every once in a while, if that's okay.
