Cinderella's Slippers

Edited by TheCuriousSeed at 2022-7-20 09:41

Silver Winterjewel here! Okay, so we were setting up for the play of Cinderella when the slippers were missing. My friend Ginkgo was supposed to play Cinderella, but the slippers were an important part of the play, too important for said play to run without.

We were at a loss on what to do, but Ginkgo volunteered to search for the slippers.

I know only the wings are showing in the pictures, but we had to work fast with a limited palette. Anyway, Ginkgo went to start her journey until...

She passed through this bright orange curtain and...

Reached this glowing tree. She pled to have answers as to where the slippers were and wouldn't you know it...

The slippers were in the tree! Then Ginkgo mentioned some sort of magical stream giving her the slippers.

She caught the slippers and the show was saved!

Finally, we could get the Cinderella play going. Again, the wings are all we could paint with limited colours, but we made it work.

Now we can keep the show going!

I did the drawings above in either Flame Painter or Silk painter to go along with the story.

This abstracted art style compels me, as does the dark backdrop.

I find it easier to do abstract in Silk, Flame Painter and Neonflames (not used here) because this way I can experiment with colours in a whole new way.
