Binturongs: An Interesting Mammal.

The first time I can remember seeing an actual binturong that wasn't animated I went to a zoo that had a binturong. Now, unlike pangolins, the world's most endangered mammal because, continued trafficking, binturongs aren't nearly as threatened, but rthen it dawned on me: the first binturong I can remember seeing at all was called Mama Binturong, who led a coup of evil animals in the Lion Guard to stop both the Lion Guard and the Night Pride, but after watching bits and pieces of the show again I realised that binturongs live in Asia, not Africa. Have you ever seen a binturong?

I have seen binturongs several times.  They were in the same habitat enclosure as the Red Panda in the Forests biotope at the Indianapolis Zoo.
I'm not sure if they're still there at present.  I haven't been to the zoo since Late 2019.

I wonder why binturongs are called binturongs? They seem to be pretty wel suited for colder climates than Africa, which isn't all that cold.
