Hurricane Elvis Reminiscent Thunderstorm Hits... Chaos Follows!

My absence in pixie hollow struck at around 11:00pm on Saturday of May 27th. My laptop completely crashed as soon as i was done completing an outfit for my fairy when the lights turned off. It was quiet all afternoon, and our bed-time was normal. My younger siblings had a slice of pizza and headed off to sleep, me because of course as the oldest, i have my privileges. It was a normal day for me, multitasking is a hobby of mine so as i was playing on pixie hollow, I was also writing my introduction paper for AP Psychology, a course im taking in a couple of months. Anyways, on with the purpose of this story.
I would have never guessed that there was going to be a major storm in my city but when the power went out i clicked. i disconnected everything out of my room and took out a candle. My first instinct was to look up the weather on my phone and so i did, normally because my phone is an iPhone it would notify me in case of any tornadoes or anything but i heard no jingle. I quickly get my siblings and dress them and pull a cover and immediately take them to the nearest restroom, this was no drill. My recently newborn brother was already being taken care of but there was no way possible that we were ready or expectant of this tremendous thunderstorm.
We carry our flashlights and my step-father gets his truck ready to run and go just in case but we were trapped to the point of no escape. Luckily nobody got hurt. Two trees fell down, one blocking the only driveway (take in mind our front yard is huge so this tree had to be enormous to block our only way out and out backyard only let to a forest pit that was untouched.) and a big tree branch that hit the front porch of our house, the house is slightly damaged but not to the point of moving out. The news and the light gas and water department notified everyone and said everyone might be a week without power, thankfully they moved a bit fast, we weren't really used to storms like these so the power outage for us lasted only two and a half days. The weather was hot and muggy and very humid but luckily today was alright. People all over my city had roads blocked by trees and their trees hit houses where in their bad case made awful destruction.
Food went bad, but those that could be saved were put in little ice bags, ice was gone as well. People made many cook outs to have fresh food. I could definitely consider this a crisis for my whole city where i researched and it has 135,000 without power still.
Now i have to finish this paper that is due by June 1st. Wish me luck! First blog by the way, hope y'all aren't asleep by now.

Yeah, thankfully we're all fine, but these big showers are coming in more recently so there may be another power outage but hopefully not as big as the one experienced.
