Tinkerbell DS Game

Hot 6Viewed 1483 times2017-7-3 00:14

This game is a really fun game I highly recommend. This can be played on any of the DS systems. It’s similar to Animal Crossing because you get to interact with friends and do favors. You play as Tinkerbell in this game, only it doesn’t go through any of the movie storylines.

Changing seasons

The goal of the game is to help bring the seasons to the mainland (this part doesn’t go with the game’s calendar). You’re supposed to talk to a certain minister (depending on which season is coming) and he or she will give you a list of things you’ll need to bring. You’ll always need to repair a certain number of items. Once you’ve got all the items, you give them to the minister, and you’ll get one out of three random prizes. You may get the minister’s outfit. If you get all three pieces of the minister’s outfit, you could get a version in a different color. After you get your reward, the season will change. The first few times you change seasons and complete “years”, you’ll get special privileges which I’ll get to later.

The first time you change the season, pink arrows will guide you to where you’ll need to go. During your first “year”, you’ll be guided. You’ll unlock new seasons of Pixie Hollow to explore during your first “year”.

Here is where each of the ministers is found:

Spring-Gazebo

Summer-Beach

Autumn-Harvest Promenade stage

Winter-Snowfall Grotto stage

Fairy Friends

Here are the different fairies you can meet and what they can do.

Chipper: She’s the first fairy you meet. She’ll give new tinker titles and new recipes. She can also give advice when you talk to her. She’s always in Tinker’s Nook, and because she’s a tinker fairy, she doesn’t need items repaired.

Rosetta: You can play the ladybug painting minigame with her and earn seeds

Olwen: You can give her a seed and she’ll grow a flower for you

Idalia: You can give her flower petals, and she’ll give you a flower in exchange

Silvermist: You can play the dewdrop collecting minigame with her and earn dewdrops

Cera: She can tell you what the babbling brook says. If you’ve started a trend, she’ll tell you

Rune: He’s always in the Sunray Plaza, and he’ll tell you a story once a day. The stories are split into three parts, and they’re based off the Disney Fairies books. On special events, he’ll tell a special one part story.

Dewberry: Give her seeds and she’ll grow fruit

Iridessa: You can go gem hunting with her once a day

Fawn: You can play the silkworm thread collecting minigame

Baden: If there’s a hawk, he’ll block the meadow

Blair: She’s always in her shop (I’ll talk about the art shop later)

Magnolia: Give her leaves and she’ll give an item in exchange

Qana: Give her snow grains and she’ll give you snowflakes in exchange

Vidia: You can race her and get some rewards

Ministers: They’ll give you the season preparation list and they’re always in their area

Terrance: He’s usually in the Pixie Dust Well, but some nights he’s in Tinker’s Nook. If there’s an event or the balloon wagon gives a special item, he’ll share a poem. When he does, he’ll put it in a water balloon and you can give it to a fairy to improve the friendship.

Augustus: He’s always in his shop. He sells items and outfits for fairy metals and runs the Fairy Roulette.

Mariana: She’s also always in the shop and she’ll help with shop favors (again, I’ll get to that later)

Queen Clarion: She’s always in her chambers. She’ll also greet you when you first arrive and when a “year” has passed. You can talk to her if you want to use the magic spell book.

Fairy Mary: She’s a fairy you can’t regularly talk to or befriend. She’ll greet you when you enter the game each day, and she’ll give you fairy darts based on how well you did changing the seasons the day before. If you’ve completed an achievement, she’ll give you golden fairy darts.

Bobble: You can’t regularly talk to or befriend him. He’ll tell you if there’s an event coming up or going on. He’ll also tell you if you’re about to advance tinker titles.

These fairies are just for chatting and befriending:

  • Lumaria
  • Nollie
  • Elwood

Befriending fairies is similar to that of Animal Crossing. When you meet a fairy, she’ll be added to your friend list and there will be one heart on the friendship meter (Vidia will have no hearts at first). You can befriend fairies by doing favors for them within the deadline, talking to them, or by giving a gift they like. The meter will decrease if you don’t talk for a while, don’t return their broken item within the deadline, say no to a favor, or give a gift they don’t like. The fairies will hint about the gifts and colors they like or dislike in conversations. Fairies each have a favorite item, but they all love yellowberries!

Better friends will give better gifts (different fairies give different gifts). If you befriend a fairy enough, she’ll give an exclusive spell you can enter in the magic book for a special item.

Favors fairies can give include repairing items within a deadline, finding a certain item, finding a certain number of certain bugs around the Hollow, or delivering something to another fairy. Fairies can also teach you special moves.

Tinkerbell's workshop

Titles: As you change seasons, you’ll advance tinker titles which will give you new workshop privileges.

You’ll make repairs for the changing of the seasons and for other fairies. You’ll get new tasks as you advance tinker titles. You can also practice the repairing minigames. When someone asks for an item to be fixed, there will be a deadline to deliver it by.

If you change enough seasons, you’ll gain access to the accessory crafting table where you can use materials to craft headpieces, bracelets and anklets. Chipper will give new recipes each day. Again, you can practice the accessory crafting minigames.

If you change more seasons, you’ll get a shelf where you can display accessories and personalized clothing for other fairies to buy. You can come back after putting items on display, and a fairy will give a water balloon message and fairy metals. If a fairy buys your item, others will wear it. As you advance tinker titles, you can put more items on the shelf at once.

Shops

Pixie Dust Tree shop: You can talk to Augustus to exchange fairy medals for materials and outfits. The items change each day, and when you talk to Augustus for the first time, he’ll give you a blue leaf dress.

Talk to Mariana, and you can dye thread, make thread stronger and wrap presents. She’ll give materials when you talk to her for the first time.

You can shoot a fairy dart on the roulette to win a prize. The regular dart prizes are common, but the golden ones are usually more rare or in a high quantity. Very rare prizes can be obtained with golden darts (such as yellowberries, diamonds and mermaid voice), but they’re hard to get.

Art shop: It’s in the Autumn Forest, and it’s run by Blair. She’ll give you a free personalized shirt when you visit for the first time, but you can exchange materials for the skirt and shoes. You can change the color of personalized clothing using fruit. You can copy one of the sample designs on clothing, or you can decorate with stamps. You can obtain more stamps by doing favors. Personalized clothing can be wearable or displayed on the shelf for other fairies to wear.

Events

Similar to Animal Crossing, this game uses the DS calendar.

Balloon wagons: These will show up at random, and when they do show up, a balloon icon will appear on the map. You can get a special item from the balloon (which is at the Pixie Dust well). Terrance will occasionally share a poem related to that item.

Hawks: These also show up at random, and when they do, a fairy will mention the hawk, and a hawk symbol will appear on the blocked location. Baden will block this meadow for a day. No fairies will be in the blocked meadow unless he or she is always in that location (Ministers, Blair and Rune). When the hawk is gone, Baden will allow you to access the meadow, and there will usually be a lot of items. Hawks are never in the Pixie Dust Tree or Tinkers Nook area.

Full Moons: They’re supposed to correspond with real full moons, but mine never did. But Bobble will tell you when there’s a full moon. Nothing special really happens other than a full moon appearing on the map (phases appear on the map) and the ability to access the Summer Glade secret map.

Summer Celebration: These are in the beginning of July. Bobble will start reminding you of the event starting when there’s three days before the celebration. It lasts for three days, and the music changes. Each day, Bobble will give you an outfit. There are six outfit pieces and only three days to play, but you can earn the outfits quicker by doing favors for other fairies. Here’s the order:

  1. Blue holiday dress
  2. Blue holiday shoes
  3. Blue holiday hat
  4. White holiday dress
  5. White holiday shoes
  6. White holiday hat
  7. Rainbow holiday dress
  8. Rainbow holiday shoes
  9. Rainbow holiday hat

The fairies will also be wearing the outfits and mentioning the celebration. Midsummer Hills will be decorated, there will be fireworks in the map, and Rune will tell a special story (Silvermist and the Ladybug Curse). Terrance will also share a poem.

Masquerade Ball: This lasts in the end of October. Bobble will give a Masquerade outfit (a witch costume). I don’t remember much of this event, but I’m pretty sure one of the autumn meadows is decorated, the music changes, there are fireworks and a special story and poem. I’m not sure about other outfits.

Midwinter Festival: It’s in the beginning of December. I’m pretty sure it’s similar to the other events in some way, but I haven’t experienced this.

New year’s eve: I’ve heard that Bobble gives a gift. Right before midnight, you’re supposed to go to the map and Terrance will lead you to the countdown. There will be fireworks. I think Bobble will give a gift on New Year’s Day.

Birthday: When you start the game for the first time, it’ll ask you your birthday. On your birthday, the music changes, and I can’t remember whether or not Bobble gives you a gift. But Queen Clarion will give a gift, and there will be a special story and poem.

This isn’t really an event, but day and night in the game is controlled by the DS clock. When you finish changing a season at night, a moon will appear as opposed to a sun.

Secrets

The special moves fairies teach you will lead you to secret minigames. There’s one in each season.

Spring: Go to the Everblossom and to the triangle move in the blossom until it fully opens. When it does, an orange sparkle should appear.

Summer: On a full moon, glow by the lake on the beach cove. The orange sparkle should appear then.

Autumn: Go to the Toadstool Hatches area and do the triangle move in the largest mushroom. Keep doing so until the mushroom area opens. The opening should have the orange sparkle.

Winter: Wake up the rainbow butterfly in Snowfall Grotto without angering him. The spot he was in will have the orange sparkle.

Tap the orange sparkle to enter the secret area. There will be a minigame where you’re supposed to collect all the items in the area. They’ll either be orbs that’ll give you items, or coins that’ll give you fairy metals. The area will get foggier as time goes on (there is a time limit). If you collect all the items, a rainbow bubble will appear. It’s REALLY hard to catch, but if you get it, you’ll either get a rare item or lots of fairy metals.

I hope you enjoy this guide, sorry if it's a little long! If you have anything you’d like to add, please share.

I love the Tinker Bell DS games! I like Idalia, she reminds me of my friend.
